Job Description:
Handles credit and deposit needs for commercial banking and commercial real estate investment customers involved in ownership and/or operation of businesses or who invest in or develop real estate.
Initiates and develops new business through outside business development activities. Achieves annual growth goals for loans, deposits and fees to ensure the bank meets its overall financial targets and conforms to credit terms.
Interviews applicants to gain information regarding their business, desire, ability and earning potential so that decisions regarding approval can be made based on acceptable risk levels. Provides credit, deposit and other banking services in conjunction with client management activities.
Develops and analyzes financial background data for new or renewed loans. Makes decisions on loans and terms within established lending limits, or refers these issues to next appropriate level of authority.
Follows-up on current loans to ensure compliance with internal procedures and other required terms. Maintains ongoing contact with client to be kept current on significant changes in financial condition or operations.
Provides financial advice and counsel to existing and potential customers within appropriate legal constraints. Studies industrial, commercial, economic and financial situations relating to new or existing business.
Makes recommendations on financial and organizational structure and other matters; visits plant or company sites as required. Ensures the sale of additional financial services. Analyzes credit to determine the ability of customers and prospective customers to qualify for ensuing borrowing requirements.
Oversees the timely completion of required documents. Assists internal and external customers, including introducing them to other products/services and other personnel when necessary.
Actively learns, demonstrates and fosters the Umpqua corporate culture in all actions and words.

Commercial Relationship Manager II:
Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results. May provide work leadership by assigning work and resolving problems.
Requires a Bachelors degree or equivalent and considerable prior commercial lending experience, strong credit and analytical and in-depth knowledge of bank products and services.
Ability to demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and apply to designated job responsibilities knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Must be able to keep up to date on regulation changes. Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required, annual required, or job-specific training.
